Frank is a health insurer that’s different from others. It's a not-for-profit health fund delivering affordable health cover and great customer service.

Premiums go towards better service and products, not shareholders.

This is primarily why it was highly commended at this year’s Finder Health Insurance Awards.

The awards are held every year and aim to highlight Australia's best companies, ranging from savings accounts and credit cards to insurance and energy providers.

Its Entry Hospital (Basic+) policy stood out because it’s one of the cheapest available on the market.

Why Frank is an award winner

How’d we know this? The short answer – we did a lot of research.

Our team analysed over 400 health insurance plans from all of Australia’s most popular funds.

Frank was highly commended in the Basic Hospital category. These awards compared all eligible basic hospital policies on the market.

It won based on value for money, meaning policies that covered more treatments in a private hospital for a lower premium scored higher.

What makes Frank different

There are a few not-for-profit health insurers out there but Frank is one of the only online-only insurers. This means its overheads are low and the money it makes, it puts back towards providing better service.

It’s also simple and straightforward, which is something we appreciate at Finder. Healthcare can be confusing and stressful. Frank makes health insurance easier to understand. It has a great app and its customer service team is very helpful.

In a cost of living crisis, getting value for money is more important than ever. Frank recognises this. They provide a bunch of low cost policies. Its Entry Hospital (Basic+) is one of the best.
