We are committed to ensuring our members can access quality and affordable healthcare. To meet this commitment, we have agreements with over 500 private hospitals across Australia. Up until and including 3 March 2025 this includes an agreement with the Healthscope Group of Hospitals which operates 38 private hospitals (see list of impacted hospitals below). These hospitals provide a range of medical, surgical, psychiatric and rehabilitation services.

Regrettably, our agreement with the Healthscope Group of Hospitals will terminate effective from 4 March 2025. After this time, admissions to these hospitals may result in the Healthscope Group charging you higher out-of-pocket costs for inpatient services.

Which hospitals are impacted?

From 4 March 2025, the following hospitals will no longer be on GMHBA's participating private hospital list.

Healthscope hospitals by state

The above hospital list is correct at 26 November 2024.

If you have an admission coming up or are likely to seek treatment at a Healthscope hospital in the near future, please contact us on so we can talk you through these changes and any impacts to your cover.
